chatni and sambhar was way too less than expected, it was a huge order and we did put special instructions for some extra chatni sambhar, instead of extra , your quantity was way too less for 3 people .I think Deep’s Udipi frozen dosa is giving more chatni then your resturant

Paid a visit to this restaurant to savour South Indian food. Tasty food and cozy, clean and neat ambiance. Reasonably priced. Service was very friendly and prompt. Would recommend it.

Loved the food and awesome service!! The dosa is as good as Guru Lakshmi but I think it's better than those guys. Plus you don't have to stand in-line for hours in the cold/heat. Thaali was amazingly delicious!! The food quality and taste is great. It definitely bring back memories of back home. Thanks guys for the awesome food tonight. We enjoyed it!! 👍👍

My wife and I absolutely loved the food. The very first bite of dosa with chutney connected to my memories of Bengaluru days, a glimpse of it. Complementary ginger tea was a brilliant treatment to my sore-throat while I was waiting for my food. Staff was very attentive, and super quick. I would rate 5 out 5, and surely recommend it to my friends. Can't wait to go back and try other food items.

Great food and great service.. Even when busy they make sure they tend to their customers very welcoming staff and amazing food. The best place to get proper south Indian breakfast in Tri Cities.. Thank you very much to the staff for their customer service.🙏

Awesome food. Transported me to India for once. I was missing the taste of South Indian breakfast for a long time until a friend suggested me to visit this place. They have a long list of dosas and I had a hard time to choose. Price is decent to. Persons work there are very good and the girl was so helpful. Keep it up👍

I had been for lunch yesterday. Inspite of long wait service was so good especially the girl was very helpful In choosing right food for our platter and kept making sure that we are given everything we need and ordered. I would love to visit more often and enjoy the food here. My only suggestion would be to play some music as it will complete the ambience.

It's one of those authentic restaurants where you know the spices used are real and flavourful. The price was way better when they had just opened up but some items have been hiked. Even then it's pretty good because you get good quality, authentic and tasty South Indian food. Something that isn't great is the fact that diners let their kids behave like hooligans which wouldn't usually be tolerated in regular restaurants in Canada. I mean it's not the fault of those serving and working but they need to have staff who know how to handle situations like these. On more than one occasion I have seen a child run around the length of the restaurant causing chaos and the parents having the attitude 'its just another indian restaurant so we can get away with it'. I highly encourage the staff to not let this behavior continue.

Since I heard of this place several months ago, I visited there 5 times. I have tried several items on the menu and all were delicious. I am always satisfies with the food and service. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great south Indian flavours in Cambridge. I will be there again on Friday .

Sorry to say but I visited last week and taste was not great according to price. I have much better options then Dakshin. Good Luck!!

They have excelled in wrost customer service possible. No regards for complaints of customer. They started to argue with us that we didn't order proper food. Two of my friends just raised a concern about food and they started behaving rudely. If you are charging premium than customers expect good food and service.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Given recommendations for the recipes they are famous for. Taste is 3/5 and would recommend to make it better as there is no other restaurant nearby except GTA. Ambience is wonderful ☺️

First visit and I was quite unfamiliar with this style of Indian food. The server was very helpful and when the food arrived I was amazed by the presentation. Extremely flavourful and fun to eat. I recommend giving them a try!

Not recommended, if you know the flavour of authentic South Indian food. Staff feels the need to explain their point of view and argue with customer, rather than listening to or trying to understand the customer. BTW, if you go there, don’t sit by front door. Door is broken and does not close, so you will be cold and your food would be cold in no time...FYI.

I am so excited to have a real SOUTH Indian restaurant in the neighbourhood (and not have to drive all the way to Brampton). This is the best place in the area for dosa -- very authentic and delicious. Can't wait to go back again.

Delicious south indian food like Dosa, Thali, and Idli. Their menu seems to have grown a bit as well and has good variety of offerings. Our food came out very quickly and was delicious and freshly made. We all really enjoyed the flavors. The mini tiffin combo was a good variety of things. I had the thali and the veggies in it were delicious as well. The service was a bit patchy .. the servers would just walk by and not look to see if you wanted anything until you flagged them down. Also we asked for a plain dosa but they brought us a full masala dosa and charged us for the full masala dosa as well even though they acknowledged we had only asked for a plain shell of a dosa. I believe it was an honest mistake and we didnt take up the issue although I believe they would have refunded it. We really enjoyed the flavors of the authentic South Indian style food and will be visiting again and again.

Been here couple of times, amazing food and decor. lovely place to eat authentic south Indian food. Highly recommend this place for family outing or just hanging out with friends. Food 10/10, Ambience 10/10.

The food was not well prepared . The service was not good.One of my friend didn't even get his food.Very poor management .Ambiance is just like any common restaurant. I have had way better south Indian food in other restaurants in this region. I generally don't write reviews but this was the worst services i have received in any of the restaurants till date and didn't want same to happen with others.

While I’m not sure of the names of the dishes I had, I can say everything was delicious! And the price is perfect. I think the restaurant is selling itself short by not advertising the whole menu is vegetarian! Wonderful addition to Cambridge!

Wow! Nativity at its best. The food is awesome. Very friendly and caring people. I am sure that if they maintain this taste and quality, they're going to have a massive growth. They have a Bell to ring, if you are satisfied with the food and service. I don't think the bell will have some rest.

Yummy food and good ambiance makes this place a must visit. It is good to see even Canadians are enjoying the taste of South Indian food and are visiting this place frequently. Keep it up Dakshin. We are waiting to taste other south indian food also. Hope you will introduce them asap.

One of the best South Indian food i ever had. Went there after reading reviews. N reviews do justify with the quality n authenticity of food. Fresh food full of flavours specially chutneys n sambhar. Big thumbs up 👍🏻 Best of luck.

Amazing food and delicious chutneys. The chutneys are so fresh. Love the service also. Very friendly environment and a neat clean place. Would go there again to have some yummy South Indian food.Great Job!!!!

Visited the place yesterday with family. Absolutely loved the food specially their different types of chutneys and sambhar. Excellent customer service. Ample parking. We would definitely visit the place again and would surely recommend to the friends.
